The honorable Chief Guest, Mr. K.K. Jalan, IAS (Retd), Former Secretary to the Government of India, emphasized GST's positive impact on business processes. CA Nidhi Goyal, President, Indirect Tax Vertical, BRICS CCI, delivered the Welcome Note, underscoring GST’s role in economic integration. The BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI) inaugurated its much- anticipated Chandigarh Chapter on September 27, 2024, in a grand ceremony that marked a significant milestone in fostering international collaboration and regional economic growth. The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry officially launched its UAE Chapter office in Dubai on February 17, 2024, following the expansion of BRICS membership to include the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, and Ethiopia. The first edition of the BRICS-CCI Annual Recognition Awards 2024 (BARA) was held here on January 19, 2024 celebrating the unleashing of the power of the BRICS bloc and honouring achievements in various fields.
