Webinar: Discussion on 56th GST Council Meeting

In response to the growing need for digital security in the banking and financial services sector, the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI) hosted a focused seminar on “Cyber Security Trends in the BFSI Sector.” The event brought together distinguished experts and industry leaders to deliberate on the evolving threat landscape, emerging technologies, and strategic frameworks required to safeguard the digital financial ecosystem.

The seminar featured an esteemed panel of speakers:
Mr. Kamendra Kumar, Honorary Advisor – BRICS CCI & Director – TCIL, shared his rich expertise in policy formulation, infrastructure development, and international collaboration within cyber domains.

Mr. Ashutosh S. Landge, President – IT and Communications Vertical & Governing Body Member – BRICS CCI; President and MD – Terasoft Technologies, addressed the need for cybersecurity governance and strategic resilience, highlighting the urgency for BFSI institutions to future-proof their digital operations.

Mr. Pratik Shah, CTO – Cyber Security and Cloud Services, IBN Technologies Ltd., provided insightful perspectives on threat evolution, cloud security protocols, and proactive threat detection mechanisms essential for organizational safety.

Webinar: Understanding Digital Personal Data Protection ( DPDP ACT)

On June 12th, 2025, BRICS CCI organised an engaging session on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act bringing together legal and tech minds for an insightful discussion on compliance, accountability, and secure data practices.

With expert guidance from Mr. Gaurav Mahajan, Partner at The Percept – Law Offices, and Mr. Naveen Kumar, VP, IT Operations at Cybersigma, the session covered crucial topics like appointing Consent Managers and Grievance Officers, handling data of children and persons with disabilities, breach notifications to the board, and employee data exemptions. Attendees walked away with clarity, practical tips, and a renewed sense of responsibility toward data privacy in the digital age!

Webinar: Payment Mechanisms in Rupee-Ruble Bilateral Trade

BRICS CCI, in collaboration with Sberbank, organized a webinar on “Payment Mechanisms in Rupee-Ruble Bilateral Trade.” The session brought together experts from the banking and trade sectors to discuss emerging frameworks for facilitating smoother cross-border transactions between India and Russia. Key topics included alternative payment systems, use of national currencies, and strategies to reduce dependence on third-party currencies.

The discussion highlighted opportunities in sectors like energy, defense, and pharmaceuticals, while emphasizing the need for policy support and institutional collaboration. The session also addressed regulatory challenges and practical considerations for businesses engaging in bilateral trade. It served as a valuable platform for fostering dialogue and promoting sustainable economic cooperation between the two nations.

BRICS CCI VIRTUAL BUSINESS MEETING

The BRICS CCI Chandigarh Chapter successfully hosted an engaging BRICS CCI Virtual Business Meeting, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the evolving business landscape within the BRICS network.

We were privileged to have Prof. (Dr.) Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, IAS (Retd.), Former ACS Home, Punjab, MHA, Government of India, and Senior Advisor, BRICS CCI – Chandigarh Chapter, as the distinguished speaker. His invaluable insights on fostering growth, strengthening business collaborations, and navigating economic opportunities within BRICS nations set the tone for an enriching discussion.

The meeting served as a platform to explore new trade and investment prospects, sectoral synergies, and pathways for deeper cooperation. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, emphasizing the need for innovation, knowledge-sharing, and sustainable economic partnerships to drive mutual progress.

Webinar: Insights on Budget 2024

The BRICS CCI Indirect Tax Vertical was excited to host an insightful webinar where esteemed experts shared their valuable insights on the then-presented Union Budget 2024. Held on Friday, August 26th, 2024, at 3:00 PM IST, the session offered a comprehensive exploration of the key aspects and implications of the Union Budget 2024.

Participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding through the in-depth analysis provided by experts with extensive industry experience in both direct and indirect taxes. The experts also addressed various queries, making the webinar an informative and engaging experience for everyone involved. The event underscored the importance of such discussions in staying informed and prepared for the evolving financial landscape.

Women in Tech: Driving Growth, Shaping the Future

BRICS CCI WE successfully organised a webinar “Women in Tech: Driving Growth, Shaping the Future,” held on April 26, 2024. The event featured an extraordinary panel of women leaders in technology, including Ms. Amrita Chowdhury, CEO and Co-Founder of Gaia Smart Cities; Ms. Kemoneiloe Kim Phatoli, Managing Director of PulaTek (Pty) Ltd.; Mrs. Olga Belova, Counsellor to Director at the International Intergovernmental Organization “International Centre for Scientific and Technical Information”; Ms. Rituparna Mandal, Vice President of Synopsys Inc.; Dr. Veronika Aksenova, Co-Founder of Cuby.AI; and Ms. Yael Smadja, CEO of Smadja & Smadja. Moderated by Mr. Faisal Kawoosa, Founder & Chief Analyst of Techarc, the panelists shared valuable insights and inspiring stories about their contributions to the tech industry, addressing key topics such as innovation, leadership, and the challenges and opportunities for women in tech. The engaging discussion and lively Q&A session provided participants with a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, underscoring the critical role of women in shaping the future of technology.

Webinar on the topic Data Analytics, AI and ML Applications In today’s ever changing world. (February 23, 2023)

BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Data Point Analytics organized a webinar on the topic of Data Analytics, AI, and ML Applications. In today’s ever-changing world on 23 February 2023. Decimal Point Analytics (DPA) is India’s leading data and analytics firm focused on the financial services sector. Mr. Shailesh Dhuri graced the webinar as the speaker. Shailesh Dhuri heads the strategy and new product development for the company. The webinar was a huge success with a significant number of delegates in attendance.

The Tax Vertical of BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a webinar on Insights of Budget 2023 on February 3, 2023. The panel discussed about the modifications made to Direct and Indirect Tax. The session was seamlessly moderated by the Convenor of Indirect Tax Vertical Ms. Nidhi Goyal, who very kindly welcomed and introduced our speakers. The session successfully concluded after a round of answering questions posed by the participating delegates.

The webinar had an interactive question and answer round which were answered by Mr. Dzmitry Karasouski. The event was promoted on the Chamber website and all social media handles. Over 300 mails with event details and registration link were sent to companies across the agricultural sector including food aggregators, entrepreneurs, Agri input companies and startups. Queries were handled during and post the event through follow up calls, connecting the stakeholders in the value chain. Insightful and valuable information shared through the event added to the success of the B2B E-meet .
